This Japanese riff on the classic cocktail replaces vodka or gin with sake, an alcohol that predates the others by centuries.
Serves: 1 • Time: 5 minutes
INGREDIENTS
- 3 oz. sake
- Juice of ¼ grapefruit
- 2 tsp. ginger paste
- 1 tsp. sugar
- Ice
DIRECTIONS
In a cocktail shaker, combine the sake, grapefruit juice, ginger paste, and sugar. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until the sugar is dissolved, about 20 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass and serve.
